How to book...

Children 10 years and over welcome, we regret that pets are not allowed. Rydal Cottage is a strictly non smoking property.  All bed linen, towels, gas and electricity are included within the price.

Provisional bookings can be made by telephone or e-mail and a confirmation of booking and receipt will be sent in the post once the deposit payment is received complete with the booking form. To receive your booking form please e-mail/telephone us and we will send by return.

Provisional bookings will be held for 5 days pending receipt of the signed booking form & a £100 deposit, which will be banked. If this is not received we reserve the right to re-offer the property.

Deposits and balances can be made by cheque in GBP Pounds, bank transfer or credit card via pay-pal. Please note that for bank transfers from outside the UK there will be a small additional charge of £20, and for pay-pal transactions £10.  

 

The balance must be paid 6 weeks before arrival. Please make a note of the due date as no reminder will be sent. Failure to pay the balance when due will constitute a cancellation of your holiday and forfeiture of your deposit.  For bookings made less than 6 weeks before arrival the total amount is payable on booking.

Internet access is available at the town library approximately 300 yards from the house adjacent to Shakespeare’s birthplace.

T & C’s...

Guests may collect the keys after 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. The property must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. For short breaks the same arrival/departure times apply.

 

A parking permit is available for 1 car, this must be returned at the end of your stay. Failure to do so will result in a £50 replacement cost.

The contract of hire is between the hirer and the property owner F.Frampton. A contract is deemed to be made when a confirmation of booking is issued. The hirer must not sublet or share the accommodation except with persons named on the booking form and must not exceed the number of occupiers on the booking form. We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund if the number of occupiers is exceeded and (at our discretion) to make additional charge.

 

All furniture, furnishings & equipment to be kept on site. For ease of housekeeping please leave the house in the same condition as when you arrived, clean, all rubbish removed and the furniture in its original place.  

  

Due to the age of the house the staircase is quite steep and may not be suitable for the infirm.  For our full access statement click here.

You will be responsible for any cost of any breakages, losses or damage done to the property and its contents by yourselves or your guests during your stay. Please advise us immediately of breakage or damage during the letting period so that we can remedy them before our next guests arrive.  

Your stay is important to us so if your party will be 3 or 4 people, please bear in mind that the dining facility (pink cafe table within kitchen) is fairly compact. For longer stays you may find space a little restrictive if planning to ‘eat in‘ for the duration of your stay.  Rydal cottage is a popular choice for friends and family wanting to take advantage of restaurant’s, tourist attractions and amenities on the doorstep.

 

Cancellations  

When you book a holiday home you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you are forced to cancel, for whatever reason, under the law you will be liable. Any cancellation should be made in writing. Every attempt will be made to re-let the property and if this is successful either in total or part, then a refund or part refund will be made.  

 

If re-letting is unsuccessful, then unfortunately all monies paid will be forfeit.
